I am taking Japanese this year because it is one of the several languages I want to learn, and I have a friend who offered to tutor me. Also, because I have so many friends already taking Japanese, it's a very good opportunity to practicing speaking to one another. I'm an anthropology major, and am currently taking Anthropology of East Asia to tie Japanese into my major.
